Ivy and Her Sister

Vine ring

My first job from Diana was to remake her mother’s diamond dress ring. The main stone had a slight imperfection so it was important to respectively cover and safeguard the corner without highlighting it. This was an important element as was to create something that was dimensional and had a reference to nature. With the help of CAD I was able to create the images that can be seen and altered. (a modern technique that I am growing more fond of, it helps when you want to see options without outlaying the time and expense of hand making it)

Diamond Dress Ring

What we created was a delicate airy two tone ring, yellow gold as the initial band and a white gold section that sits over the top joining at the sides, holding in the smaller stones and leaves for the emerald cut diamond. Truly beautiful from every angle.

There were two options that grew from the initial designs and we actually ended up making both. The second ring was a wider, all white gold open vine and leaf design that incorporated Diana’s original engagement ring, tucking the pear and brilliant cut stones near the new fabulous centre diamond. A true head turner.
